So, I’d mentioned that I had some big news. : )
We’ve been INCREDIBLY busy this past month as we’ve been doing a bit of house shopping, looking for a place nearby that might work perfectly for our family. As we were looking, we knew it would have to be someplace very special… a place that we would want to stay forever and ever… a place with room for the kids to grow… a place with a photography studio… a place that says, “Come on in…” basically, a place that feels like “home”! And we found it, nestled right in the adorable town of Downers Grove.

We loved the house, we loved the neighborhood, and we LOVED that it had a studio already built in! No, I’m not kidding… there was a family with an Irish dancer that lived here previously who had her own dance studio in the basement. The studio has beautiful wood floors, plenty of space, and is quite a bit bigger than my original home studio. Anyway, to make a long story short, we fell in love with the home, bought it, and moved in on Saturday!!! We’re still living with boxes, but I’m just so glad to have done it with time to settle in before the baby comes in August. We wake up every morning with a smile… it feels good to be home!
For some of you, having the studio move from LaGrange to Downers Grove will be a bit more of a drive. For some of you, it will be much closer! Most of my work is on-location, though, so most of you won’t be affected at all. We’ll be refiguring out the travel range as best we can, including as many families as possible.
We’re so excited, so thankful, and so thrilled-to-pieces to have bought our very first home! I can’t WAIT to show some pictures of the inside and the new studio as well… everything’s being painted right now but within a few weeks things should start to look like a house inside. : )

We’re still using the LaGrange home studio for a few more weeks as the new studio gets put together, and (of course!) we’ll be in touch with you if you have a studio session in mid-June or July regarding location.
