Something I absolutely adore about my little girl is that she’s four going on forty. She has these deep little thoughts, and I always enjoy hearing her perspective on the world. A recent conversation of ours made me realize how precious she is, all over again…
A: Mom?
Me: Yes, darling girl?
A: I’ll be all growed up really soon, you know.
Me: How did you know that, sweetie?
A: I think… I think I just knowed it in my heart. (long pause) And mom?
Me: Yes?
A: I love you.
Sigh. Precious moments. Not that I want her to be four forever, it’s just that actually… I think I do. One thing that I cherish about my job is how it allows me to capture bits and pieces of your little ones, before they’re all growed up. : ) Here are a few recent darlings:
