Or maybe I should say “Rain and Sun”? It was a funny weather day in Chicago! Started with pouring rain, then moved to some hot and humid sun, then back to a severe-thunderstormy-kinda-tornado-y afternoon, then (thankfully!) back to a clear, though super-humid, evening. Welcome to summer, everyone! : ) We certainly tried to make the most out of every situation today, and the pictures tell a fun little story…
But, super-quick, before I get into the session pictures, I wanted to put a little something out there that you might be able to help out with. One of my clients, Nicolle Lamb, is (aside from being one of the absolute sweetest and caring people I’ve ever met) a girl with some serious talent. She’s a creator in every sense of the word, and beautifully puts together things from beautiful bags (which she sells and yes, I’ll get the website for you asap) to fantastic parties to wonderful relationships. Seriously, you can’t know this girl without loving her! So, onto the whole point of why I’m bringing her up today…
She’s onto something big! Nicolle’s auditioning for Oprah’s “Your Own Show” tv program, and she’s got a really great chance at making it!!! Long story short, she’s proposing a show that focuses on creating perfect, memorable parties… something that she’s a total and complete expert at! : ) I’m not ever quick to put this kind of stuff up on the blog, except I’ve got to think that probably at least HALF of you know Nicolle because she’s recommended us to about a bazillion people. So… here’s the link… go take a peek at her adorable video and vote! Let’s see if we can get this girl her own show!!!
Vote for Nicolle!!!
Here’s her beautiful little girl… we had the greatest session, mostly in drizzling rain, last October, but all five of their adorable family members were fantastic champs for me anyway. Not a surprise… : )

This morning these adorable sweethearts came all dressed for their session, never guessing that I would be shrieking with joy at the rain jackets they’d non-challantly thrown over their perfect little outfits. After all of our fun studio shots, we went straight back outside all geared up. Can you blame me?!? : )

And THIS little peanut… well, he and his brother were total dreams to work with. We started inside their gorgeous Oak Park home (I just love Oak Park… so many cool old homes and history there!) to capture pictures of this precious, not-quite-two-week-old boy, but then decided (yet again!) to move outside for some shots in the yard. I’m SO glad we did… the sun was hitting everything just right, and I loved the way these images turned out!
