What an amazing weekend it was at the studio!
I had three absolutely fantastic groups of parents come in for classes on Saturday and Sunday, DSLRs in hand, to participate in the Sweet Shots Classes that we’ve been offering! Like last time, I was just completely impressed by their eagerness to learn about their cameras and how to take great shots of their kids. I could SO relate to their initial excitement and frustration over their DSLRs… I remember feeling those exact same things a little over three years ago when I first got mine. And that manual? Barely readable. Boring as all get-out. NOT for me.
I had such a blast watching the faces light up this weekend as these parents went from “What the heck do those letters mean?!?!?” to “Oh my GOSH I can capture my kids running and swinging!!!” I was reminded, yet again, of how much I really do enjoy teaching (a job I had in my former life, pre-kids and pre-camera). It made me come home and say, “I just can’t wait to do that again!” So I put together a few more classes for you eager-beaver, snap-happy mommies and daddies… : )
