Pretty Fun…

On Sunday afternoon I had the pleasure of doing some modeling shots for this young lady…  she was such a sweetheart and had such great confidence in front of the camera!

More Saturday Fun…

This Saturday truly rocked.  From the very beginning, I had a feeling that it was gonna be a great day, and I was right!  One of my very sweetest little families met me at a nearby park Saturday afternoon for some shots of the kids.  These babes were amazing, as usual!

This little guy is *so* adorable!  He’s just starting to stand on his own now… can’t wait to see some of those first few steps!: )

His big sister is amazing… so full of grace.  She’s wonderful with her little brothers and a total doll…

Mr. “S” is the adorably spunky one!  He cracks me up every time I get to capture him… OH to have such joyful energy like this boy!

My last shoot on Saturday was in Clarendon Hills at the home of little “W”.  Can we all say “gorgeous baby blues”? …

He was a big fan of looking out the window.  I was a big fan of his sweet backside! : )

Never underestimate the power of simple, textured clothes!!!

I’m the luckiest person in the whole world… seriously.

Hello Spring!!!

I think everyone’s in better moods (kiddos included) now that the weather has turned.  I sure am!  Whether inside or out, all of my little subjects have been so sweet and happy lately. : )  Yesterday morning began with this amazingly adorable, blue-eyed boy:

My second session was outside yesterday at one of my favorite spots.  These beautiful four children met me there with their mom for some spring portraits.  I LOVE these kiddos!!!

How do you get four beautiful children to pose so sweetly for the camera?  Beats me!!!  They pretty much did this themselves:

I’m a day behind on posts… so I’ll be doing more tomorrow for the rest of my Saturday sessions!

Abundant Sunshine

Today when I checked the weather on weather.com, the words that described the day were “abundant sunshine.”  It was so true!  Even though it wasn’t *quite* as warm as it has been the past few days, I was just loving the streams of sunlight peeking through my windows.  Happy, happy, happy!

Speaking of abundant sunshine, we’ve been going outside more and more lately!  There’s a park close to my home that a family & I visited the other evening, just before sunset.  Isn’t this gal sweet?

We made spring appear with a dozen yellow tulips (and a little help from Photoshop!).  Funny how those will make all the difference! : )

Her baby brother was doing some pretty adorable things in the studio:

Here’s another scale shot….  Have I told you guys about this scale?  My great-grandfather was a physician in Hinsdale… his office was run out of his basement in the early 1900s, which was professionally set up with a number of different patient rooms.  As a girl, my sisters, cousins, and I absolutely LOVED playing down there, since it was also the home of my grandparents.  Anyway… he delivered many, many babies, which were weighed on this very scale:

Isn’t that the coolest thing?!?

I loved this shot:

A little bit later that evening the coolest family came to the studio for some shots of their 8 week old twin boys and their big (7 year old!) brother.  They were adorable!!!

One asleep…

And one awake…

And the prize for the awesome-est big brother goes to… : )

(And yes, I know that “awesome-est” isn’t really a word.  But it SO applies!!!)

*** Tomorrow I’ll be giving away the free monthly session… sorry I’m a few days late on that!

Get Ready to Smile…

Cause I’ve got some super-cute kids for you!  I’d been so excited all week to have this little guy come in for a visit… I haven’t seen him since he was a (precious!) newborn and he’s a whopping 6 months old already!!!

Go, Cubs, Go-o-o! : )

I couldn’t help but LOVE this prop that mom and dad brought in. : )  Dad’s a big motorcycle guy, so it made perfect sense to get some awesome shots with the rad helmet!  I think for one-year-pictures, we’re gonna get him on the bike!  Ha!

Later on Saturday, these beautiful kids came into the studio:

Charmer!

dsc_4593-2

I love 18 year olds, for a bazillion reasons… First, they’re amazingly full of excitement and promise.  Second, they listen really well and rarely wiggle! : )  Always a nice change…

This little guy wanted absolutely nothing to do with his big sister.  Can’t you tell? : )
