Teeny Beanies…

I’ve had the joy of photographing a number of beautiful newborns these past few days.  Each one has been so fresh, so new, so amazing… I have the greatest job ever!

Take a look at this little guy:

Later on Sunday, I got to hang out with this awesome family in Downers Grove:

Don’t you love this shot?  So classic!

I met up with this sweet guy on Tuesday and just loved playing with him in his room.  He was totally into his blocks and books, so I put together a little collage.  I really do think that pictures mean so much more together sometimes…

And there was no way I could leave this one out of the sneak peek:

I’ve had two more newborns this week… they won my hearts!  Bet they’ll win yours… : )

Too sweet!

Saturday Session Openings (and Sneak Peeks!)

Let’s start with a quick order of business…

For various reasons, two of my sessions this Saturday (as in, the day-after-tomorrow!) had to cancel.  The times are at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.  I just checked the weather for Saturday, and it’s looking like it will be 72 degrees and partly sunny… doesn’t get much better than that!  If you think you’d like to schedule one of those sessions, click here to book a date through our online scheduler.

Moving on to some darling sneak peeks…

I met up with this sweet couple the other night in the studio.  They’re engaged and planning to get married next summer.  Aren’t they adorable?

She brought along the shoes and outfit she wore on the evening he proposed:

Cuteness! : )

On Wednesday morning, I had three of the cutest kiddos come into the studio for some portraits.  They were so much fun!  We came away with some great family shots, but (unfortunately!) none of the three of them together.  How I wish I could guarantee that perfect “sibling shot” every time!  Instead, I put together a little collage of the three of them:

After that, I was up in Oak park visiting this great family:

These are their five-month-old twins, one boy, one girl… and, to make a very long story short, their little boy is a MAJOR trooper.

I had so much fun with them!

WHAT?!?

Snow at the end of March?  This is crazy!  If this had happened two months ago, I would have probably been quicker to admire the beauty of it, but I’ll admit I’m struggling a bit this morning.  The good news is that it will be gone tomorrow, so we can all enjoy one last day of hot chocolate and fires in our fireplaces I suppose.

Speaking of tomorrow, we’re going in for our 20 week ultrasound at 9 a.m.!!!  I am SO excited to find out if this little peanut is a boy or a girl, and I’ll be sure to share our news with you all asap.  I’m always in awe of how many of you waited to find out till your children’s births.  That’s amazing willpower!  Way beyond anything I could do. : )

Ok, on to some sneak peeks.  First of all, I forgot to post a sneak peek from last weekend… I’m so embarrassed!  I hope this sweet family will forgive me for making them wait… These two guys were so fantastic, and cuter than buttons:

Another family with two boys came into the studio this week, and they were such a pair of sweeties!  Their parents were great, too!

SO good! : )

I loved how this little guy was checking out his daddy:

So there you have it… two pairs of boys!

I was busy yesterday photographing the most beautiful wedding… I’ll be showing you some fun ones from that tomorrow! : )

Get Ready to Smile…

Cause I’ve got some super-cute kids for you!  I’d been so excited all week to have this little guy come in for a visit… I haven’t seen him since he was a (precious!) newborn and he’s a whopping 6 months old already!!!

Go, Cubs, Go-o-o! : )

I couldn’t help but LOVE this prop that mom and dad brought in. : )  Dad’s a big motorcycle guy, so it made perfect sense to get some awesome shots with the rad helmet!  I think for one-year-pictures, we’re gonna get him on the bike!  Ha!

Later on Saturday, these beautiful kids came into the studio:

Charmer!

I love 18 year olds, for a bazillion reasons… First, they’re amazingly full of excitement and promise.  Second, they listen really well and rarely wiggle! : )  Always a nice change…

This little guy wanted absolutely nothing to do with his big sister.  Can’t you tell? : )

Cuties Everywhere!

Hello all!  This was a crazy, rainy weekend here in Chicago and I’m really hoping that all of your basements are in good shape!  I had lots of fun shoots this weekend and can’t wait to share them all with you.  Let’s begin with this Friday, shall we?

I’ve had the total pleasure of photographing this little guy all through his first year, and this was his one-year shoot!  Sniff, sniff!  Why do these babies keep growing up on me?!?

dsc_3248

His big sister popped in for some fun pictures, too!

Remember when I did that little casting call for newborns?  Well, I had my first one come into the studio on Friday, and he had a super willing, totally flexible mom (this was her 3rd!).  We had fun hanging around together! : )

Here are his two beautiful sisters:

Saturday morning I had some gorgeous sisters come into the studio for some portraits.  Don’t you just love them?!?

Now, this was hilarious… we (Mom, Dad, and I) had them sitting on the chairs, trying to get a good shot, and we were giving them anything (anything!) to make them happy and ready for a sibling shoot.  Now, what do most little girls absolutely LOVE these days?  You guessed it… cell phones!  Watch out, Mom and Dad… I think you guys are gonna need to enlarge your cell plan pretty soon! : )

dsc_3735

Saturday began as a sister day!  I had another pair of sisters come in after that for some pictures… they were absolutely beautiful and took some great pictures:

Don’t you just love those teeth?  (Or lack thereof?!?) : )

Their mom’s pregnant and expecting twins this summer!  We had some fun with that…

So there you go!  More sneakers coming tomorrow!
