general policies

Amy will travel up to 10 miles from her studio in downtown Downers Grove.  Due to time constraints, she is unable to travel further.  Amy has a number of fabulous locations that she loves in Chicago’s western suburbs, all of which are described in detail in your session’s welcome kit (sent when a session is booked).  If you are unsure about your location’s exact milage from the studio, please contact us to discuss it in detail.

A full session lasts up to an hour-and-a-half, and a sweetie session lasts up to 25 minutes.  Though sessions are often completed in a shorter period, extra time is built in “just in case”!

Please limit apparel to two outifts per person.

Sessions are limited to immediate family members only.  To include extended family in your session, a $100 add-on fee applies due to the extra time required to edit the images.

You will be presented with 25 to 40 images from your full session (15 images from your sweetie session).  Though many more images will be captured, any image with closed eyes, blur, or other fault that keeps it from meeting Amy’s quality standards will not be shown.  Each image is presented in both color and black-and-white.  Amy chooses to show only the best images from each portrait session, and will not show additional images from the session after the gallery has been posted.

Because of the time it takes to edit each individual image, Amy does not edit more than the maximum number of images from each session (40 for a full session, 15 for a sweetie session).

Your images will be presented to you in an online, password-protected slideshow within two weeks (14 days) of your session.  If you would like your images sooner, a rush fee of $50 can be added to your final balance to ensure that they will be posted in your online gallery within three days of your session.

A link has been e-mailed to you that provides access to a “Session Survey”.  Please complete the survey no later than two weeks before your session to help us prepare for our time together.

Your final print order will be delivered to your home within two weeks of your order date.  All included prints (and any prints ordered at the same time as included prints) are shipped for free.  You are more than welcome to order additional professional prints through our website!  Additional orders require an $15 shipping fee.

Please note than any prints or products not processed through our professional lab are not guaranteed by Amy Tripple Photography because of color and finish discrepancies.  We LOVE the top-notch print quality of our lab… for this reason, we encourage clients to order prints for displaying and gift-giving through us!

Due to the custom nature of photographic prints and products, all sales are final.

Amy Tripple Photography accepts cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, & American Express).

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.  Your $100 deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a rescheduled session as long as it takes place within one month of the cancelled session date.

You are welcome to schedule any and all future sessions (up to a year in advance) at your session… a $100 deposit is required to reserve each future session.

In the interest of fairness to all clients, we are unable to offer special deals or discounts except those that may be advertised occasionally as promotions.  For this reason, please understand that session fees, print prices, and business policies are non-negotiable.  Thank you for respecting Amy’s work and livelihood by not requesting fee or session exceptions.
