Give your child the gift of learning photography in a truly unique & unprecedented summer!

This live Zoom class will teach kids the basics of photographic storytelling so they can document their perspective of the world around them. The course includes three live, 45 minute Zoom calls each week, daily assignments & projects to help them improve their skills.

Through the course, they’ll create their own photographic scrapbook… a keepsake they’ll be sure to show future generations when telling the tale of the “Summer of 2020.”

What kind of camera does my child need?

Any kind will do! The class will focus mainly on compositional strategies and photographic storytelling principals, so a fancy DSLR is not required.

Will my child need any other materials?

Yes. You’ll need to pick up a blank scrapbook (I recommend this one on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3dp64fw) , a set of either markers or colored pencils, and a glue stick. Additionally, your child will need a Gmail account so he/she has access to Google Drive.

What if my child misses a class?

No problem! I’ll be recording each class and making them accessible online in a password-protected gallery.

How should we print the pictures for the scrapbook?

Given the unusual circumstances, pictures can be printed on a home computer, a local photo lab (like Walgreens), or an online photo lab like MPix (https://www.mpix.com).
